growing up so beautifully…. Main Line Senior Portrait Photographer, Moments Caught Photography

I have known this young lady since she and my oldest were in pre-school (well pre-pre school actually, the kind were the Mom’s come along) together. It’s just incredible to witness the growth of such an incredible young woman, although I really should not be surprised at all. “R” was a determined individual from the very start, and never one to be anything less then authentically herself. It was an honor to take her senior pictures and I look forward to sharing more milestones with this family!

another gorgeous high school senior… Main Line senior portrait artist, Moments Caught Photography

Such a together, intelligent, beautiful and sweet senior girl graduating from The Agnes Irwin school 2013! Loved getting to know both “A” and her lovely Mom!

As gorgeous on the inside as the outside… Main Line Senior Portrait Artist, Moments Caught Photography

Hard to believe, but true. With this beautiful young woman what you see is what you get. I’m proud of her and she’s not mine! We decided to do A’s senior pictures at the beach since summers at the shore are one of her favorite things! Enjoy the preview, and good luck with senior year! Oh, I almost forgot… the other gorgeous girl in one of A’s pictures is her cousin who came along for moral support and was a huge help with lighting and inducing uncontrollable laughter!

Where does the time go ….Philadelphia family and senior photographer

Where does the time go? There are many milestones in the moments that make up the raising of a child.
Clearly the first time you hold your newborn baby in your arms is the most life changing, and it’s all too quickly followed by many memorable firsts along the way. Before you know it, you wake up one day and stare into the beautiful, eyes of this child you have loved more than you ever thought possible and you realize that they have become an adult. If your very lucky; your looking into the eyes of someone who you would be proud to call your best friend, but someone to whom you will always be their parent first and friend second. Your looking into the eyes of someone who is kind, spirited, independent, strong and as beautiful on the inside as the outside. You are looking into the eyes of someone about to embark on the next chapter of their life and you are overwhelmed with pride and all that you want for them. You are also very aware that everything you have done (mistakes and all) have prepared them to take on this stage in their very own way at their very own pace and that you must take a step back and allow them to go.

I’m watching this right now with one of my best friends, and with a child I have watched grow over the years into someone I would be proud to call my friend as well. A child who truly hasn’t changed a bit on the inside, someone who’s character and characteristics have only intensified and become more obvious to the world. I’m watching as always with the eyes and heart of a mushy overly analytical dear friend and one who is all too aware that I’m right behind her… as always. I can only imagine the love and pride my friend is feeling and truly can’t begin to fathom what it must feel like for the other beautiful woman in this post, this child’s grandmother. To watch a 3rd generation of strong, spirited woman move towards her goals must be every grandmothers wish. This was a beautiful gift, 3 generations of women immortalized forever in a portrait as well as some senior pictures for Lexi and some mother/daughter images before she goes off to college. As always… from my perspective, behind my lens… the gift was mine.

And because I couldn’t resist, here is a little peak at the past…

Getting some girl time in…. Main Line family photographer

As most of you know I am the mother of 2 boys, so it’s always a treat for me to get to hang out with girls for a change! I have known the father of these 2 gorgeous girls since I was the same age as they are now, and he even brought my high school graduation picture in to rub it in. These girls are not only gorgeous, but bright, interesting and get this… sweet ?? I know, what is their secret? Ms. “L” is getting ready to celebrate an important milestone, her Bat Mitzvah so this was a little pre-celebration photo session. I know she is going to do a great job and her whole family will be very proud! Enjoy your sneak peak!

Introducing… Friends 4 life photography! Philadelphia family and senior photographer

Friend’s 4 life photography is an idea I’ve had brewing for some time. The concept is to celebrate friendship or to be more precise BFFs. Maybe this stems from the fact that I have had the same best friend since I was 12 years old, or the fact that I am still close with many of my camp friends, it could be that the minute I met my sister in law 19 years ago she became my “true sister” in every way. What ever my motivation, I think girlfriends are everything at any age and this relationship should be cherished, celebrated and immortalized forever! With all of this in mind, I introduce a new type of photo shoot to the photography market, I’m calling it “ The friends 4 life” session.

What is it… it’s what ever you want it to be?
No rules other than these should be your nearest and dearest, your BFF, your posse, your camp friends or your sister. No limit on numbers, but realize the camera doesn’t lie.
What age group is this best for? Anyone who has a best friend, you know who you are. Best friends come in all age groups from 5 to 95 (and beyond I’m sure). Where do we do the session? The sessions will be either at my studio or an outdoor location we come up with together.

Cost: $150 per person (minimum 2 people) includes one 5×7 per person plus a low-resolution file for Face book or other social media (must be the same image for every person in group) plus a 10% discount on additional prints!

Some additional ideas for a “friends 4 life session”
- Young girls birthday party (girls can play America’s next top model with their BFF’s)
- Senior sessions (combine an individual senior session with your BFF to get the best of both worlds)
-Camp reunion celebration
-Wine and cheese night out with the girls (studio only)
-Special Birthday’s (you know the biggies, sweet 16, 21, 30, 40, 50 and on up)
-Graduation gift (great to capture those special friendships before heading off to college)
-Bachelorette celebration
… The list goes on and on

“sisters by chance, friends by choice” Philadelphia family photographer…

Don’t you just love that quote? My sister in law gave me a plaque with that saying on it, and I have it hanging in my dressing area (it always makes me smile). Ok, enough about me… These 2 sisters are truly as connected as twins, they finish each others sentences, and the bond they have is so obvious. I have to also mention how refreshing it is to see two young gorgeous girls, who really seem comfortable in their own skin, who don’t need to put on airs or dress a certain way for attention. “A” parents, you’re doing something right!!!
