Our family trip to Aruba!

Happy 2009 everyone! I love the start of a new year almost as much as the start of a new school year, a clean slate and endless possibilities! Also a time to take stock in the things that matter most to you, family, friends and health. What a great way for us to end 2008, every year we go away for Christmas vacation with out brother and sister in law and my niece and nephew. We are very blessed to be so close to each other and the kids feel more like siblings than cousins. Here are a few shots from our vacation… Oh and just to clarify, the big kid kite surfing, the flamingos, the iguanas, and the pelicans are not related to us just great photography subjects to keep me occupied.

A wonderful day, a wonderful cause… kids4kids

I had the honor of photographing an incredible day of giving back.  What is most special about this organization is it’s a children’s charity given by kids and benefiting kids  (hence the name kids4kids).

This was a good old fashioned carnival that the children planned and helped run and the money raised goes to the palative care unit at CHOP and Camp Erin (a grief camp for kids who have lost a parent).  It was a win win for everyone because the children involved learned all about the meaning of giving back and how good it can feel to do something for someone else.  The day was a huge success on every level, the children worked so hard to make this day just right, and should feel very proud of their accomplishment.

Wow! What an incredible group of people! I am so honored they chose me to immortalize the love, and spirit so evident between them. I drove away more than a little jealous to be part of such a big fun family, you guys are truly blessed.
