What rain? Best Buddies Friendship walk, was a huge success… Main Line commercial photographer

Ok, admittedly it was hardly a beautiful spring day out there today, but you would never know it to look at the smiling faces. The joy, hope, and positive spirit of everyone who participated in the first annual Best Buddies Friendship walk was truly contagious. Even the weather held off until the event wrapped up, it was just that kind of day. I have said it before…. one of the things that bring me the most fulfillment is to be able to give back to organizations like this. As anyone who gives knows, we do it because it makes us feel so good. I would be lying if I didn’t admit, days like today are purely selfish on my part (the fact that others are helped along the way is icing on an already delicious cake). Thanks Best Buddies for including me, I’m in for life!
ps. (there are about 200 more images on the way).

Excited to photograph and support an important cause, Best Buddies Friendship Walk… Main Line commercial photographer

Couldn’t be more thrilled to be photographing this weekends “Best Buddies Friendship walk”!
Best buddies is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing friends and jobs for people with intellectual disabilities. They pair kids with special needs with typical peers in the hope of forming lasting and special friendships Philadelphia has a chapter and now so does Lower Merion. This coming saturday will be the first annual walk in Radnor at Archbishop Carrol High School from 8-10 am (rain or shine) and I am proud to be a part of it. Even more excited to get my own children involved in this important and fulfilling cause. Of course next week I will post photo’s from the event, but for now if anyone wants to come out and participate in the walk here is the website with all the info…

Stumbled upon a cool new location, who wants in? Main Line, Philadelphia children’s photogrpaher

After a session this past weekend, I met my husband, kids and dogs for a little walk and stumbled upon this cool location. Son 1 said no way to pictures, but son 2 and dog 2 were up for it as long as “they didn’t have to smile”. Not a problem for this photographer, smile is generally not direction I give while on a shoot and this was just to test the light and cool factor anyway. I have a model next weekend who needs new head shots that I think this will be perfect for! What do you think?

An inspirational day was had by all… Komen Philadelphia for the cure, Photographer Moments Caught

Besides being a Philadelphia Race for the cure photographer, I cover several Komen events during the year.  This was a first for me, Latinas United for the Cure!  It was a fabulous, informative, and  high energy day that everyone enjoyed.  See the large image gallery below to get a good feel for the day.  As with all Komen events, it was an honor to be a part of the change!

It’s about hope… Race for the Cure 2010… Philadelphia commercial photographer

It’s about hope…
It’s about hugs…
It”s about unity and community…
It’s about people from all different backgrounds coming together, forming friendships in the strangest of circumstances with a common goal… The end of Breast Cancer!
It’s about magic… and if you don’t feel it all around you, your not allowing it in!

warning… way too many pictures… and imagine I have 200 more that I didn’t post here only for Komen’s eyes.

Always honored to be a part of Susan G. Komen! Philadelphia commercial photographer

One of the more rewarding things about being a photographer is being able to use my passion for photography to help out and try to make a difference. Susan G. Komen is one of my favorite organizations that I am involved in, and yesterday I was honored to be asked to once again cover the grantee luncheon. This year is was held in the gorgeous Lowes Hotel, and it was a wonderful and inspiring afternoon enjoyed by all.

Aspiring actress updates her head shot! Philadelphia commercial and children’s photographer

This young lady is just oozing talent, in fact I have already been contacted by some of my “connections” inquiring about this vivacious young lady (and it’s easy to see why). She is so comfortable in front of the camera, and her eyes really speak to you. I love when you can really capture the depth of a person through their eyes, especially someone so young. I have a feeling we have a major star on our hands here!
