A dream newborn session…. Philadelphia newborn and family photographer Moments Caught Photography

One of the biggest issues newborn photographers have is keeping the baby calm, happy, and asleep in order to achieve those beautiful curled up newborn poses everyone wants. Well… that was certainly not our issue with baby Harper (don’t you love her name). In fact we couldn’t rouse this little one no matter what we did. Finally at the very end of the session Grandma was able to use some tried and true tricks that only a Grandma can pull off and I got a small glimpse at baby Harper’s beautiful eyes. Enjoy your preview images and your beautiful baby girl!

and the award for the most hair in a newborn goes to…. Main Line, Philadelphia newborn photographer

No contest, I have never seen a newborn with as much beautiful hair as little Addison (not even my own son, who held the record before now). Addison has as much personality as she has hair as you will see with the wide range of expressions she shows in her newborn photo’s. Her parents are clearly in love with each other and their new baby and I wish them a lifetime of happiness as a new family!

Claire is a big sister…. Main LIne, Philadelphia newborn and children’s photographer Moments Caught gets to meet baby sister.

Well if you are a regular follower of the blog you wouldn’t be able to forget the adorable red hair, blue eyed Claire from a few years ago. Here are two of my favorite pictures from our first session.

Well time sure does go by quickly and I was thrilled to hear from “Mom” to find out that Claire is now a big sister to a beautiful little girl. Meet baby Paige….

As you can see the gene for beauty is quite strong in this family. Claire and baby Paige are on their way to a beautiful, lifelong friendship as you can see…. and I look forward to documenting more of this wonderful family as it grows through the years.

suffice it to say this little guy stole my heart… Main line, Philadelphia newborn photography… moments caught photography

short on words because as this new Mom and Dad know I’m heading out of town bright and early tomorrow. I just couldn’t not post these before leaving so this post will be short on words, but more importantly long on images. Give this little guy a kiss from me please… and hope “J” was extra good for you guys at dinner that evening. Oh, and look at those lashes in the first picture… not fair

The spring baby boom begins… Main Line, Philadelphia newborn photographer… Moments Caught Phototgraphy

Not exactly sure what was going on 9-11 months ago around these parts, but I have never seen more newborns come through my studio or about to anyway. This little sweetie was a few weeks past my usual 2 week suggestion for newborn sessions which is why you will see plenty of open eyes. I always say it’s a trade off, we don’t get quite as many of the sleepy shots and of course have to be extra careful in certain poses since they are already more mobile then in the first two weeks. What we do get is personality, expressions and a little bit more adjusted new Mommy and Daddy.

Last newborn of 2011… I think? Philadelphia newborn photographer

At least I think this will be my last newborn of 2011, but with several clients due in January you never know? Assuming this was the last of the year for me, she sure is a beauty and she couldn’t have behaved more perfectly. Everything from not giving us any presents, to sleeping when asked, she even lost her umbilical cord the night before our session. A real super model newborn. Enjoy her on your very first Christmas as a family C family!

I love incorporating important personal items into a newborn session…. Philadelphia newborn photographer

Little “K” may not have wanted to sleep to much at our session, but who could complain when he was so happy. I told his parents he just didn’t want to miss anything and I think that must have been the case. I always tell my newborn clients that I have everything they need in the studio, but to certainly bring anything which holds special significance in your family and I just love when they do. In this case the colorful mobile was made by mom and I believe the items used came from Japan, Grandma made the beautiful quilt with the animals that baby “K” is laying on. So why the beret, paintbrushes, and overall art theme in a few shots…. well Dad is an artist! You can just imagine the fun we had figuring out how to incorporate those items, but first order of business was a sleeping baby (which we got for about 10 minutes, long enough to get those shots safely). Enjoy your sneak peak and that beautiful little boy of yours!
