This might just be my most favorite session to date!!! Main Line family photographer

This really might just be my most favorite session to date so please bear with me while I post a whopping 18 images. I tried to narrow it down and this is what I got! Ok, and now for a sappy emotional moment; I also must confess my feelings as I drove away from this session…
As I drove away from this gorgeous family session I felt very nostalgic and almost sad about the passing of time in my own family. It really hit me just how old my own children are getting and I realized that this special time in my life has passed. I was so happy to have been able to document this period for this family and new that I had gotten great images, but I couldn’t help feeling sad that I never did the same with my own and now they are big kids with big attitudes. Now, I could have wallowed in this hormonally induced sadness but what happened next made me realize how lucky I am to be doing what I’m doing. I walked into my own home and felt so grateful for my own life, I hugged my big obnoxious boys a little tighter and guess what they hugged me back. I tore myself away from the computer and enjoyed the gorgeous night outside playing with my own kids with a new kind of appreciation for every moment. I realized that not only do I love what I do, but it helps me to appreciate my own life even more than I already do. I really do have the best job in the world. Below you will see my favorite images so far, take a minute while you are looking at them and remind yourself of how lucky you really are. Oh, and on a funny note… at one point the kids and their Mom (who is way cooler than me for this one) found a frog and took him or her out of her pond to play with it (yuck). I am more scared of frogs than anything else in the world and I was so torn between running like mad and sticking around to get the shots (obviously getting the shots won out, but I’m still having nightmares about it).

The edgy side of Moments Caught Photography… Philadelphia photographer

Although children’s photography is really my passion there is a whole other side to Moments Caught Photography, I like to call it the edgy side… A prime example is the photo’s of gorgeous Ms. “A” shown here. We tried to show both sides of this young woman, and I think we did just that.

Some serious beauty genes in this family… Philadelphia children’s photographer

Ok, this family has 3 gorgeous children and I can’t stop myself from editing the first so clearly there will be several blog posts about this family. This is the middle child and I am not even going to tell you her age because you would never believe me. All I have to say is Daddy better get a guard for the house around his daughters. Here is gorgeous “M” and her equally gorgeous brother and sister are on the way.

A personal post, my other babies! Philadelphia family photographer

For all you dog lovers out there, I thought I would share my 4 legged babies with you. The bigger one is Reggae and he is 3 yrs. old, the smaller one is Abu or boozer as we call her and she is almost 16 yrs. old.

You would think 5 kids would be chaos, right? Philadelphia family photographer

I was truly amazed to see the dynamics of this family. I assumed that 5 kids would be complete chaos, not the case here. These children… now you might want to sit down for this… they listen. I know amazing huh? They are kind to each other, they are respectful of their parents, they are not selfish, they are loving, warm and just plain terrific! Now, I’m rethinking everything I thought I knew about parenting. I’m kind of thinking that the fact that there are so many options of someone to hang with, the little insults that occur between siblings don’t have quite the same impact they do as when you upset your one and only sibling. So, since the love is spread each child can deal with life’s little ups and downs in a less emotionally charged manner. That’s my story and I’m sticking with it! Oh, I almost forgot this is supposed to be a sneak peak. Please forgive the extra amount of images but with 5 kids it’s impossible not to post a lot.

Spring is in the office….

Although the weather might not know it yet, the clients do. It seems like overnight people got the bug, and with that comes the frantic rush to secure their spring photo session. I for one can’t wait to get outside with my clients, see the flowers and feel the sunshine again. March is totally booked, April is just about booked and believe it or not May has 4 spots left. While all of this is wonderful it also means that I became behind again in my blogging, and I am really going to make an effort to get back in the habit. There are several sessions that never made it to the blog at all so here are a few fun ones that suffered from my own spring fever.

A rare site around here in recent years

It’s a rare site lately around here, and it was so beautiful that I took my son on a little photo excursion this morning since he had a 2 hr. delay! The cool thing is he appreciated the beauty as much as I did!
